#13 Bulldogs blank Wasps 23-0

Wingate, N.C.----The 13th-ranked Wingate University Bulldogs cruised to a 23-0 victory Saturday afternoon in South Atlantic Conference women's lacrosse action at Irwin Belk Stadium and Founders Field. Wingate improves to 9-2 overall and 5-0 in the SAC, while the Wasps fall to 3-8 overall and 0-5 in league play.

- Jones pushed the lead to four with a  goal off a Weber assist at the 9:23 mark
- Buckmaster and Johnson scored off assists from Garvin and Glover in a 45-second span
- Slayton scored off Parnell's assist with 4:38 to go, making it 7-0
- Johnson's goal off a Benner assist at the 3:14 mark gave the 'Dogs an eight-goal lead

SECOND QUARTER

- Knutson started the scoring in the second quarter two minutes in
- Knutston assisted a Jones goal a minute later to put the Bulldogs in double figures
- She assisted Benner's goal with 10 minutes left to make it 11-0
- Garvin's goal off a Benner assisted gave Wingate a 12-goal cushion
- Rondeau scored off a Johnson assist with 4:55 to go, making it 13-0 at halftime

THIRD QUARTER

- Jones scored off Knutston's assist two minutes into the second half
- Knutston found Solero for a goal two minutes later to stretch the lead to 15
- Slayton scored off Johnson's assist at the 6:29 mark
- Solero's goal off a Garvin assist with four minutes left gave WU a 17-0 advantage

FOURTH QUARTER

- Weber scored off an Allen assist 90 seconds into the final frame
- Knutson scored off a Garvin assist with 12 minutes remaining
- Garvin scored the 20th goal of the day off an Allen assist
- Johnson scored with seven minutes to go to put the 'Dogs on top 21-0
- Glover scored with 5:19 to go off an assist from Parnell
- Churns capped the scoring off Allen's assist with 1:38 remaining
