Indianapolis, Ind.----The Wingate University track and field team will send a program-best 21 student-athletes to the
NCAA Division II outdoor national championship meet May 21-23 on the Zola Witten Track inside the Francis G. Welch Stadium on the campus of Emporia State University in Emporia, Kansas. The 21 Navy Blue and Vegas Gold-clad athletes will compete in 24 total individual events.

Three Bulldogs qualify to compete in two events
Three Wingate student-athletes will compete in two events each. Junior
Joaquin Campos will log the most miles, as he will run the 10000 meters Thursday and the 5000 meters Saturday. Campos earns his fourth national championship berth and his second outdoor appearance.
Freshman
Klaus Scholz looks to build on his '26 NCAA indoor successes in his two '26 outdoor events. Scholz will run in the 1500-meter preliminaries Thursday and the 800-meter prelims Friday. Finals for both events are slated for Saturday.
For the Bulldog women, junior
Evie Brooks is scheduled to participate in two events. She will compete in the 1500-meter preliminaries Thursday. Brooks will run in the 5000 meters Saturday. The 1500-meter championship finals are slated for Saturday.
