RESULTS | 2026 Lake Davidson Sprint Triathlon
 
Davidson, N.C.----The NCAA Division II No. 1 Wingate University women's triathlon team claimed the team and individual crowns in the Lake Davidson Sprint Triathlon presented by Trane Technologies Sunday. The Bulldogs posted 212 points to lead the nine-team field. Wingate sophomore Vanda Krizkova won the individual title, thanks to her time of 58:05.4.
 
NCAA Division I No. 7 Queens University of Charlotte finished second with 193 points. NCAA Division II No. 8 Emmanuel (Ga.) University took third place with 143 points. Nine schools representing all three NCAA divisions participated in this year's event.
 
Wingate had six student-athletes in the top nine. Bulldog junior Paula Auschill finished fourth with her time of 58:31.4, while senior Pia Diemer was fifth with her time of 58:37.6. Sophomore Shelby Lajeunesse (58.42.2) and freshman Etriin Etverk (59.33.9) finished sixth and seventh, respectively.

"The Lake Davidson Sprint Triathlon was a really great race for our team. Having so many Wingate girls in the starting field made a huge difference. We could encourage each other, work together and race as one team. The support from our coaches, volunteers and teammates throughout the course was incredible and gave me extra motivation, especially on the run. I'm really proud of how we raced and extremely grateful to be part of this team. I'm excited for the rest of the season!"

Wingate will host the first-ever NCAA triathlon conference championships on Sunday, October 4, when six teams visit Union County for the inaugural Conference Carolinas Championships.
