Biography

2010: Taylor Honeycutt appeared in 41 games behind the plate during his first season with the Bulldogs, hitting .179 with three homers, eight doubles, 19 RBI and 17 runs scored. His first homer of the season came against Mars Hill. Honeycutt was three-for-four with two doubles, four RBI and three runs scored against Catawba. He added a homer and two RBI in the series finale against Catawba. Honeycutt had a double and two RBI against Brevard. He had three hits, an RBI and a run scored against Limestone, followed by a three-for-four performance against LMU, which included a double and three RBI.

Personal:
Honeycutt was a three-year letter winner for head coach Bobby Austin at Weddington High School. Honeycutt earned All-State honors as a designated hitter last year. A team captain for the Warriors, Honeycutt has also experienced success in Babe Ruth competition. He helped lead Union County to a Babe Ruth state championship. In addition, Honeycutt played for coach Freddy Suggs and the Anglers Showcase team for two years. Taylor Honeycutt is the son of Daniel and Beth Honeycutt. He will join the Bulldog baseball program as a transfer from Lenoir Community College. In 2008, the LCC Lancers were the NJCAA World Series runner-up.
