2009-10: Entering his second year for the Bulldogs Machado had high expectations placed upon him, and he did not disappoint. Earning his second straight trip to the NCAA Division II Swimming Championships, Marcello again earned All-American consideration in his 200 yard Individual Medely. Machado also added to his collection of All-Conference accolades with three All-BGMC performances this part Febuary. Machado plans to keep up his strong swimming into his final year and has his eyes set on a fourth straight conference championship for the men.

2008-09: In his very first year at Wingate, Marcello Machado was a two-time All-American recipient. A top-notch Individual Medley and breaststroke swimmer, Marcello was an integral component in helping Wingate win the Men’s BGMC Championship. He had a top three performance at the BGMC championships as well as several second place finishes throughout the season.

HIGH SCHOOL: Machado is from Recife, Brazil. He studied at the Colegio Uniesa de Presidente Prudente. Machado is the son of Paulo and Suely Machado. He hopes to major in business.
