Biography

Josh Clawson played significant minutes for the 2011 Bulldogs. He had 48 catches for 481 yards and three touchdowns. Clawson was third on the team in catches and yards. He had eight catches for 78 yards and one TD against Valdosta State. Clawson also caught TD passes against UNC Pembroke and Tusculum. He notched six catches in a victory over Newberry. In 2010, he participated in 12 of 12 games for the 2010 SAC champion Bulldogs. He made nine catches for 61 yards. He also returned one punt for five yards and made three kick returns for 21 yards. Clawson had three catches against UNC Pembroke and two catches each versus Tusculum and Brevard.

In 2009, Clawson recorded three catches against Catawba and four grabs against Carson-Newman as a true freshman. Clawson completed his inaugural Bulldog campaign with eight catches for 70 yards. Clawson played his high school football for head coach Jet Turner at Clover. He was team MVP and captain in football his senior season. CHS won the state football championship in 2007. Clawson was also a member of the basketball and baseball teams. Clawson earned MVP honors in basketball two years in a row. Josh Clawson is the son of  of Randy and Tracey Clawson.
