Biography

Lamont Floyd saw time in 12 of 12 games for the 2010 SAC champion Bulldogs. He recorded 14 tackles. Floyd had five stops against Brevard (Oct. 23, 2010) and three tackles versus Catawba (Oct. 2, 2010). He posted a QB hurry in Wingate’s SAC title-clinching victory at Newberry (Nov. 13, 2010). In 2009, he made two tackles against North Greenville (Sept. 5, 2009).

Floyd recorded 18 tackles in 2008, including a season-high seven stops against Lenoir-Rhyne (Oct. 11, 2008). Floyd had QB hurries against UNC Pembroke (Sept. 13, 2008) and Mars Hill (Nov. 8, 2008). Floyd was a redshirt for the Bulldogs during the 2007 season. At South Mecklenburg High School, he was an All-Conference performer in football (offensive and defensive line) and track (shot put). Floyd was the team MVP and team captain his senior season for the Sabers. His brother played football N.C. A&T. Lamont Floyd is the son of Shirley Floyd.
