Biography

Justin Simpson saw time in 11 games as the Bulldogs claimed the 2010 SAC championship and an NCAA play-off berth. On the season, he tallied four tackles. Simpson posted two stops in a home victory over Tusculum (Oct. 16, 2010). In 2009, Simpson recorded seven tackles. Six of his seven stops were in the open field. Simpson also forced one fumble during the 2009 season.

Simpson spent the 2008 season as a redshirt for the Bulldogs. Simpson was a member of the football and outdoor track teams at Polk County High. His football coach was Bruce Ollis. Simpson was the most valuable defensive back his junior and senior seasons for the Wolverines. He was a two-time All-Conference performer in football, helping Polk County win the league title in 2007. Simpson was all-conference and all-region in track. In the classroom, Simpson was a National Honor Roll member. He is the son of Patricia Simpson and the late Milton Simpson.
