Biography

Justin Squirewell was named to the 2011 pre-season All-SAC team by the league’s SIDs. In 2010, he grabbed two interceptions from his cornerback position. He also broke up 10 passes for the SAC champs. Squirewell had 65 tackles (42 solo) and one fumble recovery in 2010. He had 11 tackles twice, including Wingate’s NCAA play-off victory over Morehouse (Nov. 20, 2010). A solid student, Squirewell spent the 2010-11 academic year enrolled in Wingate’s Master of Accounting program.

In 2008, Squirewell saw action in six contests. Squirewell and his teammates helped Wingate secure the SAC’s top spot against the pass during the 2008 campaign, as the Bulldogs allowed only 155.9 passing yards per game. At Southwest Dekalb High School, Squirewell was captain of the football team and co-captain of the track team his junior and senior years. He was a two-time letter winner in track and three-time letter winner in football. Justin is the son of Alvin and Deborah Squirewell.
