2014: Eric Mapoles was one of only three NCAA Division II football student-athletes named to the 2014 Allstate AFCA Good Works Team®…One of five Wingate Bulldogs named to the 2014 Capital One Academic All-America® NCAA Division II football teams…On the field, Mapoles had a season-high 13 stops versus Tusculum…Added 2.5 tackles for loss and one QB sack against the TC Pioneers…Concluded the 2014 campaign with 12 tackles at Carson-Newman…Tied for second on Wingate charts with 72 total tackles…Remainder of 2014 statistics ledger included 7.5 tackles for loss, three quarterback sacks, one forced fumble and one QB hurry…Had nine tackles in a home contest against number six Lenoir-Rhyne…Collected six tackles against UNC Pembroke and five each against Limestone and Catawba (all wins)…Earned a spot on the SAC Honor Roll…

2013: Second on Bulldog charts with 85 tackles (34 solo, 51 assists)…Five games with 10+ tackles…Career-high 12 stops (eight solo) in contest at UNC Pembroke… Had 11 tackles each in victories over Saint Augustine’s and Catawba…Recorded 10 tackles each against Tusculum and number 21 Carson-Newman…Posted 27-yard fumble recovery and return versus Mars Hill…Capital One Academic All-Super Region 2 team and SAC Commissioner’s Honor Roll…
 
2012: Played in 11 of 11 games…Made 19 tackles and recorded three tackles for loss from OLB spot…Forced a fumble versus Saint Augustine’s in his collegiate debut…Posted three tackles each in SAC victories over Brevard and Catawba…SAC Commissioner’s Honor Roll student…
 
Personal: Eric Mapoles played football at Brookwood High for head coach Mark Crews. A team captain as a senior, he received the Brookwood leadership scholarship following his final season. Mapoles posted 101 tackles and five quarterback sacks as a senior. Mapoles was selected for the 2011 Gwinnett County All-Star game following his final campaign. Eric is the son of Greg and Laurie Mapoles.
