Timmy Rogers earned All-SAC second team distinction following a brilliant junior campaign. A starter throughout his career, Rogers recorded a season-high 10 tackles against Mars Hill (Oct. 6). He had seven stops in Wingate’s national TV victory over Carson-Newman (Sept. 27). His 52 tackles were tied for fifth on Wingate’s 2012 charts.
 
Rogers had an interception against Mars Hill; he posted three pass break-ups against Newberry. He earned Capital One Academic All-Super Region 2 team honors and SAC Commissioner’s Honor Roll laurels as a junior. A pre-season All-SAC team member, Rogers will serve as a team captain for the 2013 season.

In 2011, Rogers was fourth on the Bulldog defense with his 65 tackles. He had 33 solo tackles and 32 assists his sophomore season. Rogers had 12 tackles each against Brevard and Mars Hill. He recovered a fumble in a victory at Catawba. Rogers returned nine punts for 92 yards. He had four punt returns for 45 yards (with a 39-yard long return) against Valdosta State.
 
Rogers played in 12 games for the 2010 SAC champion Bulldogs as a true freshman, notching 39 tackles and one interception. In the NCAA play-off victory over Morehouse, Rogers had a season-high eight stops. He posted six tackles each in successive weeks against Catawba, Carson-Newman and Tusculum. Rogers had a punt return for a TD versus Catawba. He had 17 kick returns for 273 yards (24.2 yards per return). At Sumter, Rogers was a vital cog as head coach Paul Sorrels and his charges advanced to the 2009 S.C. state title game. Timmy is the son of Michael and Rose Rogers.
