Personal: Ian Bergmann was a three-year letter winner for head coach Greg Ditz at Laney High. Bergmann was a key contributor to a Laney program which made the state play-offs every year of his career. As a junior, Bergmann was named to the All-Area team by the Wilmington Star. His senior campaign, he led the team in sacks and finished with 80 tackles and 15 tackles for loss as an all-conference choice. The son of Craig and Angelique Bergmann, Ian Bergmann was named his team’s Defensive Linemen of the Year following his final season.
