2015: Caleb Baird showed his power and consistency by converting 28-of-29 PAT attempts in the 2015 season…Recorded his longest field goal of the year against Carson-Newman (46 yards)…Hit a season-high five PATs against the C-N Eagles as well…Made nine-of-14 field goals, including a perfect three-of-three versus Mars Hill…SAC Commissioner’s Honor Roll student…

2014: Baird handled Wingate’s kick-off duties for the second consecutive year…50 kick-offs for 2891 yards (57.8 yards per kick-off), recording 12 touch-backs…only Tusculum had a better yards per kick-off average than Wingate’s Baird…Nailed a field goal in a SAC road victory at Brevard…

2013: Served as Wingate’s kick-off man as true freshman…Boomed 55 kick-offs for 2950 yards, an average of 53.6 yards per kick…Had four touch-backs, including one each in the team’s final three games (North Greenville, Mars Hill, #21 Carson-Newman)…Averaged 62.0 yards per kick-off at Lenoir-Rhyne…Recorded 57.7 yards per kick-off versus NGU…
 
Personal: Caleb Baird was the kicker and punter three years each for head coach Calvin Sutton at North Lenoir. He was ranked the number one high school kicker in North Carolina by Prokicker.com. His senior year, Baird was the team’s leading scorer with 54 points. He kicked a school-record 47-yard field goal, while converting 18-of-20 PATs and 12-of-15 field goals. Four of his field goals were greater than 40 yards. Baird was team co-MVP, all-conference and Eastern Carolina (3A) Conference Special Teams Player of the Year. He was also the varsity soccer goalkeeper for four seasons, earning team MVP and all-conference laurels his junior and senior years. The son of Bruce and Sharon Baird, Caleb Baird was a member of the NLHS National Honor Society.
