2019: Cal Hanford earned All-SAC honors for the first time…Registered 47 tackles with eight tackles for loss and five sacks…His sack total was second on the team…Added 14 QB hurries, two forced fumbles, a fumble recovery and a blocked kick…Posted nine tackles and two sacks in the Carson-Newman win…Recorded seven stops, two TFLs, a sack, a forced fumble and three QB hurries at Mars Hill…Added seven tackles in NCAA playoff contest versus West Florida…Wingate’s 2019 seniors set a record with 36 career victories…
 
2018: Hanford recorded 43 tackles for the ‘Dogs…Added nine tackles for loss (45 yards), 6.5 QB sacks (32 yards), three forced fumbles, one fumble recovery and six QB hurries…Returned an interception 52 yards for a touchdown in the Catawba win…Posted six tackles each against Newberry and Tusculum…Posted two QB sacks against the TC Pioneers…
 
2017: Hanford posted 31 tackles as the Bulldogs won the SAC title and advanced to the NCAA playoffs…Statistics ledger included four tackles for loss (23 yards), three QB sacks (20 yards), four QB hurries, one forced fumble, one fumble recovery and one blocked kick…Recorded a season-best eight tackles in the NCAA playoff game versus West Florida…Posted six stops in the Carson-Newman victory…Had two QB sacks in the UNC Pembroke win…
 
2016: Hanford appeared in every game of the season for the Bulldogs…Posted six total tackles (four solo, two assists) for the season…Recorded one solo tackle each in games against Johnson C. Smith, Shaw, Brevard and Newberry…

2015: Utilized a redshirt season…

Personal: Cal Hanford was elected team captain his senior season for Bears’ head coach Bobby Curlings. Hanford helped lead New Bern to the 2014 4A state championship and a perfect 17-0 overall record. New Bern also won the conference title during his final season. Following his senior campaign, he was named first team all-conference and second team all-area. As a junior, Hanford was second team all-conference and all-area. Cal is the son of Scott and Karrie Hanford.
