2016: Blake Hayes established himself as an offensive force in the Bulldog backfield…The Harlon Hill Award nominee appeared in 11 games and started five…Earned first team All-SAC  honors with a league-leading total of 1109 yards…Posted a season-high 196 rushing yards on 33 carries against Mars Hill… Recorded 100-plus rushing yards against Tusculum, Lenoir-Rhyne, Carson Newman, Mars Hill and Newberry… Credited with three receptions for 27 yards…Finished first in the SAC in rushing yards and scoring per game…Placed second in the league in rushing touchdowns and total touchdowns behind teammate Lawrence Pittman…Second in the conference in rushing yards per game…

2015: Hayes saw time in three games for the Bulldogs…Best performance in season finale against Newberry with five carries for 10 yards…

2014: Hayes had one carry for four yards in a season-concluding road contest at Carson-Newman…

Personal: Blake Hayes was a captain of Wade Hampton High football team for head coach Kent Haltiwanger. Hayes was named Old Spice Player of the Year, All-State, all-county and all-conference. The Generals were football conference champs during Hayes’ career. He also was a member of the state championship-winning basketball team at Wade Hampton High. Blake is the son of Shona Hayes.
