2017: Team captain…Preseason All-SAC performer…

2016: Jake Jensen received second team All-SAC laurels…Started in 11 of 11 games for the Bulldogs at the tight end position…Finished the season with six total receptions for 125 yards…Best performance came in the victory against Mars Hill…Posted one reception for 43 yards against MHU Lions as ‘Dogs earned a hard-fought 42-39 victory…Recorded 24 receiving yards on one catch versus the Shaw Bears…Served as a key blocker to contribute to the stellar WU offensive line…

2015: Jensen caught 12 passes for 121 yards and three touchdowns…Snagged a season-high three catches for 24 yards and one touchdown at Tusculum…Had touchdown catches at number 16 Lenoir-Rhyne and in a home contest versus Carson-Newman…

2014: Jensen had a big 33-yard grab in a road victory at Saint Augustine’s…Played behind two-time Academic All-America® performer Brandon Ellington (’15)...

Personal: Jake Jensen lettered two years for head coach Bill Sochovka and the PFHS Trojans. In 2012, Jensen was elected team captain and racked up first team all-conference and second team all-region honors. He led the conference’s tight ends in receiving yards his junior and senior seasons. A two-year letter winner in baseball and basketball, Jensen was part of Pine Forest’s conference and sectional championship hoops team. He threw a no-hitter in baseball as a senior. Jensen was an active member of the Student Government Association and the National Honor Society at Pine Forest. Jake is the son of Gerald and Kathy Jensen. His uncle played football (quarterback) at Appalachian State and his sister played basketball (guard) at Methodist.
