2016: James Whitaker saw action in 10 games playing behind teammate and second team All-SAC selection Kyle Johnson…Finished the season with 29 completions on 52 attempts for 352 passing yards…Only three interceptions on the season…Completed seven-of-nine attempts for 104 yards against Shaw…In 49-6 SAC victory over Lenoir-Rhyne, completed seven-of-10 tosses for 87 yards…Looks to be a strong competitor for starting quarterback role in 2017…

Personal: James Whitaker concluded his Roswell High football career as the school’s leader in passing yards. Whitaker was an all-conference quarterback for head coach John Ford at Roswell. A team captain for the RHS Hornets, Whitaker was the team’s Offensive Player of the Year. Off the field, he won the prestigious City of Roswell Leadership Award. James is the son of Greg and Jackie Whitaker.
