2016: Tevita Mafi registered playing time in eight games for the Bulldogs…Credited with 11 tackles (nine solo, two assists) on the season with 6.5 tackles for loss…Recorded 4.5 quarterback sacks for the Bulldogs defense…Posted a season-best three solo tackles in a victory over Tusculum…Collected two tackles each against Catawba and Limestone…Single tackles in games with Mars Hill and Newberry…

Personal: Tevita Mafi attended River City High School and played football for head coach Steven Departo. He was a three-year starter on both the offensive and defensive lines for the Raiders. Mafi earned all-conference honors at defensive line following his junior and senior seasons. He was also tabbed as the Sierra Valley Conference defensive line MVP. Mafi finished his last two scholastic seasons with over 160 tackles and 16 sacks. Most recently, Mafi attended American River College for two years. He helped lead the ARC Beavers to an 18-5 record and a spot in the northern California championship game. Tevita is the son of Toatele and Wanda Mafi.
