Biography

2019: Jesiah Carlton posted 59 tackles in 12 games as the Bulldogs won 10 games for the first time in school history…Led the team with 22 QB hurries and 12 tackles for loss (minus 52 yards)…Posted 4.5 QB sacks (minus 32 yards) as well…Recorded a career-high 10 tackles in the Carson-Newman victory…Added 2.5 tackles for loss, two QB hurries and 1.5 QB sacks against the Eagles…Had seven tackles the next week in a win over Catawba…Finished regular season with a fumble recovery at Mars Hill…Notched nine tackles with a forced fumble in the NCAA playoff game against West Florida…
 
2018: Carlton saw time in 11 games as WU advanced to the second round of the NCAA playoffs…Recorded a season-high six tackles versus Fayetteville State…Posted two tackles and 1.5 tackles for loss in his debut against Johnson C. Personal: Jesiah Carlton was an impressive offensive and defensive student-athlete for the Reagan High School football team and head coach Josh McGee. The three-year letter winner at linebacker and wide receiver was voted Reagan’s Most Valuable Player by his coaches and teammates. Carlton was a member of the 2016 N.C. Shrine Bowl team on top of earning All-Conference and All-Northwest honors. He was also named to the All-County Team for three consecutive seasons. Outside of football, Carlton was a member of the National Honor Society and a mentor for Young, Black, Male Achievers. He was also an active member in his church youth group. Jesiah is the son of Mary Carlton.
