2019: Daniel McRainey had one reception for 30 yards in Wingate’s regular season finale victory at Mars Hill…Saw action in 12 of 12 games for the Bulldogs as WU set a record with 10 victories…Posted special teams tackles versus Johnson C. 2018: McRainey saw time in 10 games for the Bulldogs…McRainey’s work in the trenches helped running back Nijere Peoples earn SAC Offensive Freshman of the Year honors…The WU offense lifted quarterback Shaw Crocker to the top of the SAC charts in points responsible for (174)…Participated in both NCAA playoff games at West Georgia and at Lenoir-Rhyne…
 
2017: McRainey and his teammates won the SAC regular season title and advanced to the NCAA playoffs…The Bulldog offense helped running back Lawrence Pittman lead the SAC in rushing yards (1262) on the way to earning the league’s Offensive Player of the Year award…WU led the league in time of possession (32:55) and first downs (229)...Selected for the SAC Commissioner’s Honor Roll…

2016: McRainey saw action in every game for the Bulldogs…Utilized as a lead blocker for teammates Lawrence Pittman and Blake Hayes…Paved the way for Pittman to score a league-best 15 rushing touchdowns and for Hayes to eclipse the 1000-yard plateau…SAC Commissioner’s Honor Roll student…

2015: McRainey utilized a redshirt season…Earned a spot on the SAC Commissioner’s Honor Roll…
 
Personal: Daniel McRainey was a two-time all-conference selection for WBHS head coach Bob Hanna. McRainey received the most outstanding defensive lineman award as a junior. He was elected a team captain prior to his senior campaign. He was also a member of Trojans’ wrestling and lacrosse teams. McRainey was a member of the WBHS National Honor Society and an Eagle Scout. Daniel is the son of William and Dianne McRainey.
