Biography

2011: Kelly Moldenhauer earned first team All-SAC and All-Region honors during her junior year at Wingate. She anchored a stifling defense that led the SAC with nine shutouts and a 1.06 goals against average. The defense was most dominant in SAC play, allowing only five goals in the nine contests for a 0.56 goals against average. The Bulldogs notched shutouts in seven of nine SAC contests on the seasons. During Wingate’s 10-game winning streak, the defense went 599 minutes without allowing a goal. On three separate occasions this season, the Wingate defense did not allow a shot on goal. The ‘Dogs notched six consecutive shutouts at one point in the streak, with five coming against league opponents. In the six contests, the defense allowed only 29 shots and only nine on goal.

2010: In her second season, Moldenhauer put together another impressive season. She appeared in 19 matches with 18 starts. Moldenhauer scored three goals for the season. She was also named to the 2010 Daktronics women’s soccer All-Southeast Region second team.
 
2009: Moldenhauer started 16 matches as a freshman on the Bulldog defensive unit. The Charlotte, N.C. resident added one goal against Embry-Riddle (Fla.) and one assist versus Mount Olive in Wingate victories, while averaging 1.06 shots per game.
 
Personal: Moldenhauer was a member of the soccer and basketball teams at Grace Academy. Her soccer coach was Matt Daniel. Moldenhauer was the soccer team MVP as a sophomore and a senior. She served as team captain for three years. In basketball, she earned the most improved award as a junior. Moldenhauer was a team captain in basketball during her senior season. She played for the Mecklenburg Union Futbol Club and head coach Chip Wiggins. Kelly is the daughter of Ron and Ruth Ann Moldenhauer. She has a brother who played soccer at Judson College. He played professionally for the Thunder Bay Chill.
