Biography

2010: Brittany Barrineau led the Bulldogs with 38 RBI in her first year at Wingate. She hit .287 with eight homers, eight doubles and 24 runs scored. Barrineau led the team by drawing 25 walks, while finishing third with 71 total bases. She had a homer and three RBI in the win at Coker, while notching a double, homer and four RBI in the Queens victory. Barrineau hit a grand slam against Erskine, followed by a five-for-seven day at Belmont Abbey, which included two doubles, five RBI and four runs scored. She had two homers and five RBI in game two at Mount Olive. Barrineau had a homer and four RBI against Lander. She was two-for-four with a homer, two RBI and two runs scored against Brevard.

Personal: Barrineau earned four varsity softball letters for head coach Tad Baucom at Piedmont High School. She was also a member of the basketball and volleyball teams. Her final two seasons on the softball diamond, Barrineau was team captain, All-County, All-Conference, All-District and All-State. Her sophomore year, she was All-County and Defensive Player of the Year. Barrineau was team MVP in volleyball, basketball and softball as a senior. In basketball, she led Piedmont in rebounding her senior season. In addition, she was All-County and All-Conference two years in a row. In volleyball, she was a two-time All-County and All-Conference selection. Brittany Barrineau is the daughter of Raymond and Karen Barrineau. She joins the Bulldog family as a transfer from Western Carolina University. Brittany is a Business Marketing major.
