Wingate University Athletics

2010: Villarroel posted a 2-1 singles record during his junior season. He was 1-1 at the number five singles position and 1-0 at the number six singles slot. In doubles, Villarroel paired with Andrew Owen to record a 3-0 mark at the number three doubles flight. For the season, Villarroel was 5-4 in doubles (with three different partners).

2009: As a sophomore, Villarroel teamed with classmate Braeden Patchell to compile a 6-6 doubles record at the always tough number one position. In SAC play, the duo of Villarroel and Patchell were 4-2 overall. Villarroel played one match at number three doubles, securing a victory to make his season record 7-6. In singles, Villarroel won one match at the number six flight.

2008: Villarroel earned nine singles victories as a freshman. His win total placed him second on the Wingate team victory ladder. Villarroel won five matches at the number four spot and four matches at the number five position. He won SAC matches against LMU, Carson-Newman and Brevard. In doubles, Villarroel recorded five victories during the 2008 campaign.

HIGH SCHOOL: Louis Villarroel was a member of the basketball and soccer team at St. Joseph High School. He comes to Wingate after spending two years at St. Mary's College. Louis is the son of Theodore and Lesley-Ann Villarroel.
