Alex Chapman started all 57 games for the Bulldogs during his junior year. He hit .214 while collecting 40 hits, 23 RBI and 21 runs scored on the year. Chapman was two-for-three with a homer and two RBI against UNC Pembroke. He was two-for-three with a triple, two RBI and a run scored in a 5-2 win over Mars Hill. Chapman was two-for-three with two doubles and two RBI in Wingate’s 12-3 win over Newberry in the SAC Tournament.

UNC Charlotte: Chapman appeared in 17 games in the 2007 season, mostly as a defensive specialist at three infield positions. He picked up his first collegiate RBI with a sacrifice fly in team's second game of season at High Point. Chapman Registered his first collegiate hit, a single in his only at-bat in a game versus Saint Joseph's on April 7th.

Chapman played in seven games as a reserve in the 2006 season, drawing two walks in four plate appearances. He was named to the Dean's List, Chancellor's List and Atlantic 10 Commissioner's Honor Roll in the Fall 2005.

High School: Chapman earned back-to-back-to-back Northwest 4A All-Conference honors while serving as team captain. He played football through his junior season, when he earned All-NW4A Conference honors. Born January 7, 1987, Alex is the son of Robyn and Wayne Chapman. He is a Finance major.
