Biography

2012: Brian Yeung led the Bulldogs with a .362 batting average during his junior season. He started all 55 games, piling up 16 homers, 21 doubles, 63 RBI and 54 runs scored. Yeung led the team with 79 hits while totaling 148 total bases. Yeung finished the season ranked eighth nationally in total bases, ninth in homers, 10th in doubles and RBI and 22nd in hits. He ranked in the top five in the SAC in all of those categories as well, while also ranking fifth in the league with a .679 slugging percentage. Yueng put together a streak of four consecutive games with multiple hits in February, blasting two homers while scoring seven runs. He went three-for-four with a double and an RBI at Lenoir-Rhyne. He went three-for-three with two doubles and four RBI against LMU. Yeung had a double, homer and three RBI against Winston-Salem State, while registering a homer, two doubles, three RBI and three runs scored in the final two games of the Carson-Newman series. Yeung connected on three homers at Limestone, driving in six runs on the day. He went three-for-four with two RBI and two runs against Anderson. Yueng had two homers, four RBI and three runs scored against Barton. He was four-for-five with two homers, a double and seven RBI at Mars Hill. Yeung added two homers in the second game at Mars Hill, and one more homer in the series finale. He had a homer and three RBI in the SAC Tournament win over Carson-Newman. He homered in the next two games of the SAC Tournament while also adding a double, earning All-SAC Tournament honors. 

2011: Brian Yeung was a first team All-SAC and All-Region selection, while earning second team All-American honors from the ABCA and third team accolades from Daktronics. He led the nation with 26 doubles, while also leading the league and ranking third nationally with 170 total bases. He finished second in the conference with 16 homers and 68 RBI, while hitting .358 on the year. His .691 slugging percentage also ranked second in the conference, along with his four triples. Yeung’s 26 doubles rank third on the SAC single-season charts, while his 170 total bases are good for sixth-best in league history. He set a SAC record against West Virginia State, going seven-for-seven with three doubles, two homers, seven RBI and seven runs scored. The hits, doubles and runs scored were all single-game league records, while also setting a record with 16 total bases. Yeung had a 20-game hitting streak during the 2011 season, while collecting an extra-base hit in 19 of those contests.

2010: Yeung started all 48 games for the Bulldogs in his first season at Wingate. He hit .321 with five homers, 13 doubles, 40 RBI and 34 runs scored. Yeung was third on the team in doubles and RBI, while ranking fifth with 60 hits. He started his season with two doubles and four runs scored against St. Andrews. Yeung had a homer, two RBI and three runs scored at Newberry. He had a three-run homer at St. Andrews, and drove in a pair of runs in the title-clinching win over Carson-Newman. Yeung was four-for-five with a homer and four RBI at West Florida. He drove in three runs against Lander.
