Biography

2010: Cale Rogers made 11 appearances on the mound for the Bulldogs during his junior season, while also having two at-bats. On the mound, he went 2-2, picking up the win by going five innings against West Virginia State while allowing one earned run and striking out five. Rogers went six innings at St. Andrews, picking up the win while striking out five. Rogers pitched 1 2/3 scoreless innings at UNC Pembroke, while striking out one. Rogers was two-for-two with three RBI at the plate. He had a sacrifice fly against Catawba, and had an RBI single at Newberry. His biggest hit of the year came in the eighth against Carson-Newman, driving home the game-winner with a single to clinch a share of the SAC title for the Bulldogs.
2009: Rogers made 11 appearances on the mound for the bulldogs during his sophomore year including five starts. Cale was able to ink three victories. On the offensive side Rogers made seven plate appearances and had an average of .286. Rogers was fourth on the team in winning percentage, wins, and starts. He threw the fifth most innings on the team in the Bulldogs 2009 campaign.

2008: Rogers appeared in 36 games his freshman year, including eight appearances as a pitcher and seven starts. He hit .284 on the year with 13 RBI and 15 runs scored. He was three-for-five with a double and two RBI against Carson-Newman in the SAC Tournament, followed by a four-for-five performance with a homer, three RBI and two runs scored at Limestone. His best pitching outing came against Catwba, when he went allowed just one run on one hit in three innings of work while striking out three. Rogers struck out a season-high four at Lander on March 5.

Rogers was the Most Valuable Players his junior and senior year at Southern Alamance High School. He was also a two-year captain on the football team. He was an all-conference, all-region and all-state baseball selection his senior year. He helped lead the team to the 2005 state title. Rogers was 9-2 with a 1.78 ERA and 84 strikeouts in 54.2 innings pitched his senior year. He also hit .425 with three homers, 15 doubles, 19 RBI and 29 runs scored. Born on
January 15, 1989, Cale is the son of John and Charlotte Rogers.
