2009: Heath Weatherford had a succesful sophomore season with the Bulldogs. He was third on the team in slugging percentage (.660), RBI (37), doubles (18), triples (two), home runs (nine) and total bases (103). He was fourth among team regulars with a .346 batting average last season. Weatherford had multiple hits in 14 games, including a four-for-five performance against Concordia (N.Y.).

2008: Weatherford started 50 games his freshman year with the Bulldogs, hitting .304 while leading the team with 11 home runs and 38 RBI. He was second in doubles, total bases, and hits while ranking third in runs scored. Weatherford had two homers and four RBI in Wingate’s 9-7 win at Francis Marion. He was three-for-six with two doubles, two RBI and two runs scored in the 14-13 win over Alderson-Broaddus. Weatherford was four-for-five with a homer and three runs scored at Erskine. He had three hits including a homer and three RBI against Catawba. Weatherford was three-for-five with a homer and three RBI in a 12-11 win over Mars Hill.

Personal: Weatherford was an all-conference selection his senior season at Richmond Senior High School. He hit .420 with two home runs and 25 RBI his junior year. Weatherford hit .320 with three homers and 27 RBI his senior year. Born on December 14, 1988, Heath is the son of Tommy and Karen Weatherford.
