2011: Jacob Karr played in 54 games during his junior season, starting 53 times. He hit .330 on the season, finishing fourth in the SAC with 19 doubles. Karr also had a triple, homer and 26 RBI on the season, piling up 63 hits and scoring 34 runs. He was third on the team with a .413 on-base percentage.

2010: Karr hit .283 with eight homers and 37 RBI during his sophomore season at Wingate. He had 11 doubles, 43 hits and 38 runs scored. His eight homers lead all returners for the Bulldogs this season. Karr had 10 multi-hit games in 2010, and also had 10 games with at least two RBI. He started his season by going three-for-four with a double and four RBI against St. Andrews. Karr had a homer, two RBI and two runs scored at Lenoir-Rhyne. He was four-for-five with a homer, three RBI and four runs scored against Catawba. Karr had a homer and three RBI at Lander. He had a double, five RBI and three runs scored against West Virginia State. Karr had a homer, two RBI and three runs scored against LMU. He also homered in Wingate’s title-clinching win over Carson-Newman.

2009: Karr was a starter last year for the Bulldogs, making an appearance in 48 games. He showed some speed on the bases with four steals last season without being thrown out once. Jacob ranked third in runs, plate appearances, games played, and starts for the Bulldogs. He was fifth on the club in RBI and doubles. Karr ended the season with a .299 batting average. He had multiple hits in a game 13 times. Jacob also showed some skill on the mound making 3 appearances and tallying four innings pitched. Karr has also excelled in the classroom, being named to the Dean’s list in both of his freshman semesters as well as earning Athletic Honor Roll accolades. Jacob Karr’s twin brother Joshua is also on the team. Jacob is the son of Gary and Deborah Karr.
