2012: Jason Hunter played in 49 games as a junior at Wingate, starting 47 times. He hit .327 with nine homers, 12 doubles, 45 RBI and 26 runs scored. He had a homer and two RBI against Concord, while also registering a homer and two RBI against top-ranked Mount Olive. He went four-for-five with a homer against SAC champion Tusculum. Hunter drove in three runs against Barton, then went four-for-four with a double, homer, five RBI and three runs scored against UNC Pembroke. In the first two games of the Carson-Newman series he went four-for-seven with two homers, a double and five RBI. Hunter had  a triple, homer and six RBI against Anderson, while going three-for-four with a double at Catawba. He had a homer and two RBI at Mars Hill, followed by a four-RBI game in the series finale. Hunter went two-for-five with a homer and two RBI in the SAC championship game against Tusculum. 

2011: Jason Hunter played in 15 games, starting 12 times during his sophomore season. He hit .295 on the season, with five RBI and eight runs scored. Hunter had four doubles, while compiling a .360 on-base percentage on the season.
