2015: Jordan Newsome made 13 appearances including nine starts in his junior season, posting a 2-1 record…Had 33 strikeouts in 44 1/3 innings of work…Got the win against North Greenville, allowing two runs on three hits in five innings, striking out six…Tossed 2 1/3 shutout innings in relief at Coker, striking out two…Got the win against Belmont Abbey, allowing three runs in 4 2/3 innings, striking out three…Allowed just one run in 5 1/3 innings against Newberry in the SAC Tournament, striking out six…Tossed a shutout inning with two strikeouts against Mount Olive in the NCAA Tournament.


2014: Newsome made seven appearances as a redshirt sophomore for the Bulldogs...Piled up 15 strikeouts in 12 innings of work...Did not allow an earned run in his first two outings, going 2 1/3 allowing just one hit, striking out three...Tossed 2 1/3 shutout innings against Catawba.

2013: Newsome red-shirted during the 2013 season, recovering from surgery.

2012: Made 10 appearances including four starts during his freshman season at Wingate...Posted an 0-2 record, notching 15 strikeouts in 17 2/3 innings...Tossed an inning of shutout relief against Catawba without allowing a hit.

Personal: Jordan Newsome made 10 appearances in his first season at Wingate, starting four contests for the Bulldogs. He finished the season 0-2 with an ERA of 13.25. He worked an inning of scoreless relief against region champion Catawba. He struck out a career-high four against top-ranked Mount Olive.
