2013: Earned first team All-SAC honors...Earned All-Region accolades from Daktronics, ABCA and the NCBWA...Led the SAC with a 1.50 ERA, allowing just 10 earned runs in 60 innings of work...Third-best single season ERA in SAC history...Ranked 13th nationally in ERA...Held opponents to a .229 batting average, giving up just one homer on the year, which came in his first start of the season...Did not allow more than three earned runs in any start, allowing zero or one earned run in eight starts...Tossed a complete game three-hit shutout to lead Wingate to a win at third-ranked Catawba...Notched another three-hit shutout in his next outing against Lenoir-Rhyne...Tossed seven shutout innings at Lincoln Memorial, allowing five hits while striking out five...Allowed one run on five hits in seven innings against Brevard.
2012:Â Little made 20 appearances his sophomore year at Wingate, starting six games. He finished the year with a 4-1 record and 3.63 ERA. Little had 45 strikeouts and just 14 walks in 44 2/3 innings of work. Little got the win against top-ranked Mount Olive, allowing one hit in two innings of work, striking out four. He struck out six in 4 2/3 relief innings against Barton, getting the win without allowing a run. His first start of the year came against NCAA regional participant Francis Marion. Little got the win, allowing three hits in seven innings of work, striking out seven to lead the Bulldogs to a 1-0 victory. Little pitched 4 2/3 scoreless innings against Newberry, striking out four. He struck out a career-high eight in the SAC Tournament victory over Carson-Newman, allowing two runs on six hits in 6 1/3 innings of work to earn the win.Â
2011: Little made six appearances in his first season at Wingate, all in relief. He compiled a 6.97 ERA, with 14 strikeouts and only one walk in 10 1/3 innings of work.
Personal: Little was the team captain and co-MVP of his East Mecklenburg High School team. He earned all-conference honors as a junior, while also earning all-conference honors as a quarterback and punter on the football field. Olen is a Mathematics major.
