2015: Tyler Brown led all Wingate pitchers with 22 appearances during his junior season, making two starts…Went 8-4 with three saves, compiling a 3.23 ERA…Led the team in wins and saves, ranking second in ERA…Had 48 strikeouts and 16 walks in 69 2/3 innings, ranking second on the team in innings pitched…Held opponents to a .213 batting average…Earned All-SAC Tournament honors…Got the win against St. Andrews, allowing one earned run in five innings…Had back-to-back perfect relief appearances against Coker and Lenoir-Rhyne, striking out three in 2 2/3 innings, picking up a save…Got the win in relief against Lenoir-Rhyne, allowing two runs in 5 1/3 innings…Tossed 6 1/3 shutout innings against Brevard, allowing just three hits while striking out five…Tossed eight innings in relief against Concord without allowing an earned run on just two hits, striking out six in the 17-inning Wingate victory…Tossed 3 2/3 shutout innings against Mars Hill, allowing one hit while earning the save…Struck out eight in 4 1/3 innings of perfect relief at Georgia Southwestern, getting the win…Made two appearances in the Carson-Newman series, tossing 3 1/3 shutout innings, allowing one hit…Got the win in the SAC Tournament game against Newberry, allowing two runs in 3 2/3 innings…Got the win against Catawba in the SAC title game, allowing a run on five hits in six innings of work, striking out two…Tossed 4 1/3 shutout innings in two appearances in the NCAA Tournament, allowing just four total hits against Mount Olive and North Georgia.

2014: Brown made a team-high 16 appearances out of the Wingate bullpen as a sophomore...Was 2-2 with three saves...Had a 2.76 ERA with 29 strikeouts in 29 1/3 innings, holding opponents to a .206 batting average...Struck out five in three no-hit innings against Coker, earning the save...Tossed 1 2/3 shutout innings against Tusculum, while getting the win against Anderson in his next outing...Got the win against Newberry, tossing 1 2/3 shutout innings...Piled up five strikeouts in 4 1/3 shutout innings against Catawba, allowing just one hit...Struck out two in 1 1/3 innings against Carson-Newman, earning the save...Picked up the save in the SAC Tournament win against Tusculum, striking out three in 2 2/3 innings without allowing a hit.

2013: Made 10 appearances including one start during his freshman season...Had 13 strikeouts in 16 1/3 innings of work...In his first two collegiate appearances, struck out four without allowing a run in four innings of work...Struck out two in 1 2/3 innings against Brevard without allowing an earned run...Capped his season with two shutout performances against LMU and Winston-Salem State, striking out two in three innings. 

Personal: Tyler Brown was the team captain and team MVP of his Nansemond River High School baseball team during his senior year. He earned All-Conference and honorable mention All-State honors as a senior, leading Nansemond to a city and league title. Brown also earned team MVP honors on the volleyball team at Nansemond River.
