Biography

Megan Somers returns for her second season with the Wingate cheerleading team. Prior to joining the Bulldog family, Somers cheered four seasons for head coach Lindsey Roberts at East Wilkes High School. She won the Most Spirited Award and the Cardinal Award in 2008.

Academically, Somers was an honor roll student at East Wilkes. She graduated in the top 10 percent of her class. Somers is attending Wingate on an academic scholarship. A Dean’s List student, she is active in Alpha Xi Delta sorority. Megan is the daughter of Dwayne and Debra Somers. Her aunt Saundra Somers Holland attended Wingate.
