Biography
2011: Courtney finished fifth in the Wingate pre-SAC Invitational with a 5K time of 17:19. At the Bulldog Stampede, he was 12th with an 8K time of 28:24. Courtney competed in every race as a sophomore. He ran a 28:14 8K at the Food Lion SAC meet, earning a 29th place position.
2010: Courtney competed in six of seven events for the Bulldogs in his freshman year. His highest finish of the season was 15th at the Bulldog Stampede 8K with a time of 30:02. He also competed in the SAC Championship meet and the NCAA Southeast Regionals.
High School: Max Courtney ran cross country and track for coach Field Miller while in high school at Central Academy in nearby Monroe. He is the son of Bret and Michelle Courtney.
