Biography
As a junior in 2008, Oliver Cross participated in seven races for the Bulldogs. Cross ran a season-best 5K time of 17:52 at the WU Pre-Conference Invitational, good enough for 15th overall.
The Charlotte, N.C. resident ran in six races for Wingate during the 2007 season, finishing a season-best 37th at the SAC championships with a 30:07 8K time.
Cross ran a 30:04 6K at the Erskine Invitational, his fastest time of the 2006 season. He ran his fastest 10K time (38:55) at the Wingate Invitational.
Cross was a member of the cross country, track and basketball teams at the O’Neal School. In his senior season, his cross country team won both the conference and state titles. Also, he was a captain on both the cross country and track teams. Oliver is the son of Ken and Lynn Cross. He is majoring in Biology.
