Personal: Austin Smith started at right guard for head coach John Osterhout at American River College. ARC spent the majority of his sophomore season at the top of the California and national JUCO rankings. JC Gridiron named him a Top Interior Lineman, while JCFootball.com listed him as one of its top offensive guards. At Granite Bay High School, Smith was awarded Player of the Year by the Sacramento Bee/Surewest Sports Show following the Grizzlies’ state championship victory his senior season. He was named to the All-Metro team as well. Austin is the son of Scott and Melissa Smith.
