Brandon Lawson had 41 tackles in 2008, including a solid 23 solo tackles. In a road victory at North Greenville, he recorded a career-high 11 tackles. Lawson blocked a big kick in a win over Elizabeth City State. He had five tackles during 2007 for the Bulldogs, including two stops against Lenoir-Rhyne on October 13. In the LRU game, Lawson blocked a punt to set up the first of two Nelson Woods’ touchdowns. In 2006, Lawson had nine tackles in 11 games. He grabs a spot on the SAC Commissioner’s Honor Roll each year. At East Forsyth, Lawson was a two-time All-Conference choice for head coach Todd Willert. Lawson led the team in tackles his final two seasons, earning All-County laurels. He was MVP of both the baseball and football teams his senior season. A three-time All-Conference pick in baseball, Lawson was a team captain in both football and baseball two years each. An Honor Roll student at East Forsyth, he is the son of Barry and Sandra Lawson.
