Personal: Cedric Jones joined the Bulldog family as a transfer from Murray State University. As a redshirt freshman, Jones saw time in 12 games for the MSU Racers. He had three starts in the 12-game 2014 campaign, posting 23 tackles with 15 solo stops. Jones had three pass break-ups and one interception. At Memphis East High School, Jones played football for head coach Marcus Wimberly. He received All-State and all-district as a senior. His final season stat line included 63 tackles, four interceptions, two fumble recoveries and 12 pass break-ups. Cedric is the son of Mary Terrell.
