2014: Charlie Hosea was sixth on Wingate’s tackle charts with his 60 stops…Recorded 13 tackles (six solo, seven assists) with two tackles for loss, one QB sack and one fumble recovery in a home victory over Catawba…Had six tackles each in back-to-back road victories over Limestone and Saint Augustine’s…Posted eight tackles and 1.5 tackles for loss in a home win over UNC Pembroke…

Personal: Charlie Hosea joined the Bulldogs as a transfer from Los Angeles Pierce College and the College of the Canyons. At John Burroughs High School, Hosea played football for head coach Keith Knoop. Hosea was the Indians’ most valuable defensive player and linebacker his junior and senior seasons. He made first team all-conference and all-region his final two seasons, earning defensive MVP honors for the Pacific League his senior campaign. John Burroughs won the league title his senior year, as Hosea posted 141 tackles. He recorded 131 stops his junior year. Charlie is the son of Joseph Hosea and the late Helen Hosea.
