Chris Ortiz was a member of the football and soccer teams at McArthur High School. He was an All-County wide receiver for the Mustangs, topping the team charts in receptions during his senior season. Ortiz has a cousin who plays football at the University of South Florida. Chris Ortiz is the son of Nuri and Dawn Nuriu.
