2019: Connor Baroniunas was the 2019 South Atlantic Conference Scholar-Athlete of the Year Award winner for football…All-SAC, first team… Academic All-District® for Super Region 2…Four-year starter…Played 437 snaps…Graded out at 88 percent with 100 percent effort grade…Posted 30 knockdown blocks and did not allow any QB sacks, hits or pressures…Semi-finalist for the 2019 William V. Campbell Trophy, presented by Mazda…Wingate’s 2019 seniors set a record with 36 career victories…

2016: Baroniunas finished his freshman campaign starting in nine games at both guard positions…Amassed 580 repetitions with an overall grade of 80 percent...Proved to be a force on the Bulldogs’ offensive line as he helped the WU offense become the #2 ranked rushing offense in the SAC as well as the #2 ranked passing offense in the league…SAC Commissioner’s Honor Roll student…

Personal: Connor Baroniunas was a three-year varsity starter for the Middle Creek Mustangs and head coach Randy Ragland. He received first team all-conference honors each of his last two seasons, while earning honorable mention after his first year. Baroniunas was selected for the News & Observer All-Metro First Team after his senior season. Voted unanimously as a 2015 team captain by his teammates, Baroniunas earned the MCHS Trench Award for excellence on the offensive line. The Mustangs advanced to the N.C. 4AA East Finals twice and also captured the conference championship trophy two times.  His senior season ended with an all-time best MCHS football season record of 14-1 overall (11-0 regular season). In the classroom, Baroniunas earned membership in the National Honor Society. Outside of athletics and academics, he volunteers with the CFF Challengers and the YMCA flag football league as a coach and mentor. Connor is the son of William and Joyce Baroniunas and the brother of Ryan Baroniunas.
