Personal: Darion Barron played for head coach Chris Williams at Athens Christian School. A three-year starter on both the offensive and defensive lines, Barron received the ACS Golden Helmet Award following his senior season. Barron was the first-ever recipient of the Athens Area Man of Steel Award. He was the ACS Eagles’ Offensive and Defensive Lineman of the year in 2014, earning a spot on the all-region and all-area teams. In 2013, Barron was voted Offensive Lineman of the Year and also earned all-region honors as an offensive lineman. His senior year statistical ledger included 51 solo tackles, seven sacks, 13 quarterback hurries, five forced fumbles and three fumble recoveries. Darion is the son of Gene and Candice Barron.
