Personal: Freddy McCollum played nine seasons of varsity sports at Southern Lee. He played football (three years), soccer (four years) and baseball (two years) for the Cavaliers; his head football coach was Tom Paris. In football, McCollum was second team all-conference following his junior and senior seasons. Southern Lee’s top scorer, he was named Specialist of the Year after his junior campaign. A soccer team senior captain for head coach Jason Burman, McCollum was a three-time first team all-conference pick. He led the Cavs in assists as a sophomore and a junior. Freddy is the son of Freddy McCollum, Sr. and Carolina McCollum.
