Personal: JaVon Hopkins was a two-year starter for AKHS head coach Adam Hastings. Hopkins was elected team captain in 2014, finishing the season in the top six in tackles. He had four interceptions, while accumulating 341 yards rushing on offense. Hopkins was a member of the National Honor Society at Ardrey Kell. JaVon is the son of Gary and Renita Hopkins.
