Biography

2016: Jay Hood appeared in six games for the Bulldogs…Recorded a season-high three receptions for 38 yards against Lenoir Rhyne…Two catches for 37 yards against Catawba… Looks to challenge for more playing time in 2017…

Personal: Jay Hood was a four-year letter winner for LHS head coach Bobby Collins. A team captain as a senior, Hood completed his Bruin career with 137 receptions for 2,107 yards and 22 touchdowns. He was twice selected as the offensive MVP for the Bruins. Following the 2014 season, Hood was a participant in the S.C. North/South All-Star game. He also earned all-region and all-county honors as a senior. Jay Hood is the son of Kirkland Hood and April Dover.
