Biography

Jeremiah Covington joins the Wingate family following a very successful career at Forest Hills High School. Covington was defensive MVP his senior season for head coach Johnny Lowery. Covington was also the MVP for the Yellow Jacket wrestling team as a senior. He was All-County in both sports. Covington played one season at N.C. Tech for head coach Tim Newman. Covington led the N.C. Tech defense in sacks (seven) and fumble recoveries (four). He is the son of Marvin and Peggy Covington.
