Biography

Jordan Softcheck caught 41 passes for 581 yards and five touchdowns for Wingate during 2007. Softcheck posted a season-high 101 receiving yards in a big 34-26 victory at Fayetteville State (Aug. 25). He caught six passes each in two Bulldog victories: UNC Pembroke (Sept. 15) and Lenoir-Rhyne (Oct. 13). Softcheck is also Wingate’s sure-handed holder for extra points and field goals. At Wall High School, Softcheck played three sports. Softcheck was All-Area, All-County and All-Conference in football. Softcheck played on state championship squads in both football and baseball. He is second on Wall High’s all-time receiving list in catches and yards.
