Biography

Josh Pettiford is a two-sport participant for the Bulldogs (football, baseball). His off-season work will pay dividends for the Wingate defense this year.

In 2008, Pettiford spent a redshirt season for the football Bulldogs. An A/B Honor Roll student at Orange High School, Pettiford was a member of the football and baseball teams for the Panthers. He was an All-Conference middle linebacker as a junior and an All-Conference defensive lineman as a senior. A two-year football co-captain, Pettiford led the Panthers in tackles and tackles for loss as a junior. OHS won the N.C. state 2A baseball championship his senior season. Josh Pettiford is the son of Sheila Riley.
