Biography

Karston Grant filled a starting role for the Bulldogs as Wingate made its 2010 SAC championship run and earned an NCAA Division II play-off berth. In 2010, the ‘Dogs were second in the SAC in passing offense (332.7 yards per game) and total offense (443.3 yards per game). During his three seasons, Grant and his O-Line mates have blocked for 15 100+ yard performances by Wingate running backs and helped 2011 graduate Nelson Woods rush for 1000 yards three times.

In 2009, Wingate averaged 395.3 total offense yards per game. The Bulldogs were second in the SAC in scoring offense (33.6) and passing offense (241.1). In 2008, Grant helped Wingate average 238.4 passing yards per game. Wingate was second in the SAC and number nine in the NCAA Division II in passing offense during the 2008 campaign.

Grant was a redshirt in 2007. He is no stranger to championship success. At Independence High School, Grant helped the Patriots win the N.C. 4AA state championship each year he participated. He is the son of Fred and Tammy Grant.
