Malcolm Ricks played in 11 of 11 games as a first-year Bulldog. He had 18 tackles (nine solo) with a season-high five stops against Lenoir-Rhyne. Ricks posted three QB hurries and three tackles for loss. At Erie Community College, he was a JUCO All-American and first team All-Northeast Football Conference selection at linebacker his sophomore year. He led the team with 65 tackles, recording 12.5 tackles for loss (71 yards). Ricks had two sacks, two pass break-ups and two forced fumbles as he started every game. He saw time in 10 contests as an ECC freshman. The ECC Kats won the region title both years.
 
At Blanche Ely, Ricks played in the Dade versus Broward All-Star Game. A team captain, all-conference and all-county performer, Ricks led the BEHS Tigers in tackles his senior year. He had 82 tackles and nine sacks his final season. Malcolm is the son of Donald and Adrien Ricks.
